1.

RULES FOR PROBATIONER NURSES.

Probationers are trained in nursing in the Government Hospitals of the Colony.

2.

Probationers are on duty eight hours daily, they may be called upon to do more if occasion requires.

3.

They shall strictly adhere to the times laid down for their duty, and report themselves to the Sisters on duty both coming on and going off duty.

4.

They shall not on any pretence be absent from the wards without permission from the Matron.

5.

They shall attend all lectures and classes arranged for them. They shall on no account give Hypodermic injections or opiates unless under the supervision of the Sister.

7.

They shall refer anyone making enquiries about the condition of the patients to the Sister, and are strictly forbidden to mention anything about the patients to anyone outside the Hospital.

8.

They shall be strictly obedient to the Sister under whom they are working.

9.

Probationers both in the Wards and in the Quarters are under the general supervision of the Matron.
